Garlic Pork | Basil Pork

This is one of the best basic Thai dishes. With this ingredients, you can make garlic pork then add basil and pepper to make it basil pork.

Ingredients:

Pork, Garlic, Oyster sauce, Fish sauce (optional), sugar, black pepper, chili, oil, Basil (Thai or the one you find at grocery store will do)

  1. Chop or mince garlic and heat up the pan with 1 tsp of oil
  2. Brown garlic
  3. Add pork
  4. Add 1 tbsp of oyster sauce
  5. Add 1 tsp of sugar and a pinch of black pepper

Stir fry until pork is cooked and you can stop here for garlic pork. Add a little bit of water and covered while pork is cooking if you want gravy.

Add Basil and chili and a splash of fish sauce, stir for a few minutes. Add a little water and covered while pork is cooking if you like gravy.

You can throw the chili pepper in at the beginning with minced garlic if you like spicy. Make sure your ventilation fan is on!

Sometimes we add green bean to it but you can add any vegetable to this dish. It wont change the taste too much.
