(on the famous barn sale)
If you are following me on social media, you must have seen my many posts about @thehomegirlshop since they open their door for business back in September of this year.
Gina Bishop is one interesting and talented woman with exceptional vision for vintage and all things cute, and her partner Jean Sukys AKA “the furniture doctor” is the best at refurbishing old things, finding great vintage pieces, and give it new life.
Long story short, the two talents joined forces in September of this year (yes 2020) and rebrand Jean’s shop, Market 29, into “Homegirl”. They started in a 300 square feet sugar shack and in 2 short months have already had expanded into a bigger space across the parking lot at the Evaporator Works in Hudson. (Read more about Homegirl Story here)
Since the move at the beginning of November, Gina and Jean have been filling the shop with all kinds of finds, old and new. They have everything from the cutest box of matches to the big old vintage sliding door!
The shop is rearranged and restocked almost daily and there is always something cuter than the last shipment. I would say what I’m sharing today is the best set up yet, but I know that it will get even better in just a matter of days!
Homegirl is located at 51 S. Main St (Suite D4), Hudson, OH 44236 (right by Heartwood Coffee and Peace Love & Little Donut Shop)
The hours are Wednesday – Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 11am-2pm
I wouldn’t be inviting you to go check them out yourself if I haven’t been visiting weekly to collect pieces inspired by Gina and Jean and getting ready to rearrange my own home with my Homegirl finds during my down time this winter.
Just go.
And if you see something you like, act on it. It will be gone before you know it!
