Don’t laugh if I say I dreamed of getting accepted into an Art program at Kent State in 1999 😉 But that didn’t happen (I never apply) and I took my time with my BA at UA. Yet Kent always has a special place in my heart.
So when @trooplovelysomethings shared about @katiebutlerstudio MFA show @kentstate_painting I couldn’t resist.
We took a short drive to Kent this morning. This was their first gallery visit but we explored art museum with them since around 18m and I think it helped them appreciate the different forms of art they see in different places.
{Quick fun facts: our must see in every cities are art museums and children museums}
Not gonna lie, it makes me happy when they say they want to go home and make something (Today’s favorite was the paper installation in these two pics by @susannaharriscreates)
Anyhow, check out @kentstate_painting gallery when you feel like appreciating some art and perhaps strolling through downtown Kent.
It has changed so much if you haven’t been recently. We are at an empty playground right now (finally) and will be picking up some spicy wonton later (don’t tell) 😘
