As it’s going to be 80 degrees today and some of us will definitely be cleaning, I thought I would share the list of places you may drop off your unwanted items in and around Akron area.
These are local agencies and organizations that help the less fortunate. However, some of the places may still only taking new items for donations due to covid. Please make sure to call first or visit their website.

▪️American cancer Society Discovery Shop (Clothes, household items, kids stuff, but kids clothing age 5-20 only.)
▪️Goods for Good Akron
▪️Rahab Ministries (Call first)
▪️Habitat for Humanity (All county)
▪️Access Inc (New only – may change)
▪️Battered Woman Shelter (Also new only the last time I called)
▪️Love Our Community (in Hartville)
▪️Gwen’s House OH
▪️Goodwill
▪️The Salvation Army
▪️CORE Furniture Bank (Will pick up!)
Again, please call places others than Haven of Rest, Goodwill, and Salvation Army to make sure they are accepting gently used items.
